Grant by John de Suttone of Wyvenhoe, knight, to John de Suttone his eldest son of all his tenement called "Cokayne" in the vill of Elmestede, with appurtenances and services of tenant free and bond; also 23s. 5d. annual rent in Great Benteleye, viz. 3s. from the earl of Oxford, 11s. 6d. from Hugh de Roklande, and 3s. 11d. from Richard Drawesword. Done at Wyvenho on the Sunday before the Translation of St. Thomas the Martyr, 12 Edward III. Attached is a note of livery of seisin, with record of fealty done by the tenants, free and bond [named]; no court was held because of the king being at Ipswich before crossing "into French lands."
